Discipline

is a key part of our core value of Commitment and a quality that we discussed at the conclusion of our workout yesterday.  Commitment is demonstrated by disciplining oneself to make exercise a part of one's daily routine,  Discipline can also be applied to other areas of life where commitment is needed....work, sleep, learning, relationship building and so forth.

In order for discipline to be developed and demonstrated through action, one must have a desire to accomplish something of significance (a goal).  When difficulties arise, which they inevitably will, that goal helps one stay focused despite the inconveniences, struggles and setbacks.

Nothing is ever accomplished alone.  There are always other people, circumstances and events that play a role.  This is why it is essential for one to seek out and receive support from others and a primary reason why we conduct our workouts in groups.  Our participants are supportive and willing to hold themselves and others accountable for taking the actions necessary to develop the discipline and commitment required to accomplish meaningful fitness and life goals.

If you are considering becoming a participant or volunteer we invite you to contact us so that we can get to know you, answer your questions and hopefully have you attend one of our workouts to see if our program may be a fit for you.

Remember, if you discipline yourself others won't need to.
