Friendliness can get you far in life.

Think about the most successful person you know. Most likely he or she is amiable and nice with great drive and ambition. For success, sure you need that all-or-nothing attitude and great passion for what you want to succeed in. But getting to the top involves dealing with other people and no one will help you if you’re awful to work with. Being friendly will definitely get you far in life.

Not only will you go far in your endeavors with your friendliness, you’ll also simply lead a better quality of life. You’ll be happier because of the relations you build by being nice to others and people will like you because of your kind demeanor.

Kindness has happy, positive effects that last longer than an impulse purchase or an indulgent treat. It stays with you for a long time as well as the person who has been on the other end of your kindness stick. In an case, the person you were friendly too may be inclined to pay it forward and so the routine will continue.

Friendliness has nothing but positive effects as long as you balance it with assertiveness to avoid being a pushover. The simplicity of the action can have gigantic reactions. Try a simple smile to the stranger on the street; tell your local barista thanks for his or her hard work; or the next time someone helps you, let him or her know how much you appreciate them. Surely with random acts of kindness to loved ones and strangers alike, you will feel an amazing sense of accomplishment that could propel you forward in your personal and professional life.
