The First Steps To Self-Confidence

You’re standing on the mountain of change. It wasn’t easy to get here, but you did it. Can you feel that in the air around you? It’s freedom. Your freedom. You got here because you wanted a better life. You deserve a better life. Can you see it? It’s just over the next hill. You’re halfway there.

All you need is the self-confidence to reach it. Being confident isn’t as hard as you may think. All you have to do is believe in yourself. I know some of you are thinking “that’s easier said than done,” but think back for a minute to all that you have gone through in your life. It’s not as hard as all that, is it?

Let’s focus on your self-value first. Everyone has something they are good at. Even if it’s something you haven’t done in a long time. Do you paint? Did you write poetry when you were younger? Are you a wiz at repairing your computer or other electronics? It can be as simple as the ability to remain calm and collected during an emergency.

Focusing on your self-value helps to discover your passion. If you used to paint then take a painting class. If you used to write poetry then start writing again. If you can stay calm in a crisis volunteering at a call center might work for you. With numerous schools and businesses San Francisco women have many choices, but the important point is that by doing something you feel passionate about you can begin to feel good about yourself.

When you have gone through a bad situation it’s easy to think that you wear that situation for everyone to see. You can get caught up in worrying about what other people think of you. Instead, try to focus on what other people think of themselves and try to make them feel better. This will not only boost your confidence it will make them happier and more confident.

Take care of yourself. By eating healthy and getting regular exercise you will not only feel better, but you will look better too. Zumba workouts are a fun, encouraging way to get your exercise.

Embrace being different. We are all individuals with our own tastes in music and our own favorite movies. Don’t be afraid to like something that your friends don’t. So, pull that sequin jacket out of the closet and put on your rainbow socks. When you can embrace your individuality you will be more confident in yourself.

The first step to anything is always the hardest, but once you start to change your life you will realize that it’s easier than you thought. San Francisco women can take that first step by contacting Lifting Up Lives. They don’t just offer Zumba workouts. They offer you a way to heal and create lives filled with hope, happiness and opportunity.
